Teens Honored as Young Innovators for their Contributions to Entrepreneurship and Innovation at CES Las Vegas
Meet the Winners and Their Inventions at CES Las Vegas Jan. 9

[Las Vegas, NV] – Living in Digital Times, the producers of lifestyle technology events at CES in partnership with CTA, are pleased to announce the winners of the 2020 Young Innovators to Watch. Culled from more than 150 applications across North America, the 4 winners are all younger than 20-years old and have made serious contributions to technology and innovation. The 2020 Young Innovators to Watch winners are awarded with an all-expense paid trip to CES  Las Vegas for themselves and a guardian, the opportunity to present their work at  CES in front of 500 attendees, and $1,000 in cash with technology supplies and gifts, including a digital notebook by Hamelin.

Congratulations to the 2020 winners:

  • Saihaj "Sage"Khanuja, 16-years old; and Nikolas Ioannou, 16-years old; Issaquah, WA
    • Saihaj Khanuja and Nikolas Ioannou partnered together to form a biomedical device, Spira, that provides screening for respiratory diseases in an affordable, effective, and fast approach.
  • Alishba Imran, 16-years old; Mississauga, NY
    • Alishba created HonestBlocks, a medication tracking app built on Hyperledger Fabric and Composer that aims to stop counterfeit medication.
  • Sofia Ongele, 19-years old; Santa Clarita, CA
    • Sofia Ongele was appraised for her creation of ReDawn - an app that provides advice and guides survivors of sexual assault.
  • Stanley Liu, 16-years old; Arcadia, CA
    • Stanley impressed the judges with his his microfluidic device, The Immunoessence Chip, designed for integrated plasma separation and sensitive multiplex biomarker detection that is inexpensive and invasive.

The Young Innovators to Watch winners  represent original technology, inventions, or discoveries that display forward-thinking entrepreneurial vision and social good. Meet the winning students and be amazed by their inventions and presentations on Thursday, January 9 at 4pm at Kids and Family Stage at the Venetian.
